I had my ISP (Spectrum) change out my SURFboard SB6121 modem to a SB6141 that they supplied me. Other than that one change, everything is the same. Everything still works, make calls, receive calls, but when I try to answer the call, it doesn't connect and my cell phone keeps ringing until I pickup the call on my cell. Could it be that the modem is causing the problem or is it just a coincidence? Going back to my old modem would be a PITA. It took the tech about 30 minutes to provision the new one and he knew what to do. Any ideas? Thanks?
Update...........
Yesterday, all the phone calls I got were out of the area and I had to pick each one up on my cell. Today everything is working correctly. I'm now guessing the problem had nothing to do with the modem and it was just some glitch. Hopefully never to return.
I'll leave this up in case somebody has experienced a similar problem and found out the cause.
