Can't port number to Google Voice, need help with workaround
jimates:
The numbers used by google belong to a provider (landline). It is possible that the provider in a given area does not support porting from cellular providers.

Well then if you are sure about that the only workaround would be port to a VOIP service that supports your area, then get a GV number, and finally hook your the VOIP number to your GV account. That'll work ;)
Cheers!
Does anyone who if voipmyway forwards caller id?
I want to port my number to voipmyway and forward incoming calls to GV for call management and just use voipmyway for outgoing calls.
Can someone help with the setup of my OBI110? I would like calls coming in on my voipmyway number forwarded to GV and have GV ring the phone attached to the OBI. When I make a call from the phone connected to the OBI I want it to go out using my voipmyway account.
Thanks in advance for the help
I think you should start a new thread for this since it is off topic here but yes what you want is do able.
