Does anyone know whether Google Voice has been quietly outsourced to some South Korean companies in the recent, (due to profit and/or cost-cutting pressure)?
I used Google Voice to call China. In the past, it worked perfectly fine. But since this year, if I use Google Voice to call China, I have been repeatedly greeted by some South Korean language operator message, followed by an English one - "We are sorry, the number you called is a vacant number, blah, blah, ...". More than 95% of the time, the call cannot go through.
What is going on here? Is Google Voice still a good choice for making international calls?
Seems Google is getting worse and worse these days, racing to be a greedy, profit-driven heavily-outsourced company, along with IBM, Microsoft, Apple, etc. It is no longer the "Don't do evil" company when it was originally establised 20 years ago.
