Hello Obitalk folks,
CircleNet is running a special promotion for Obi users. We'll port US or Canadian numbers for Obi users for free from now until July 1st.

Thanks and happy calling

Heck of a deal. Should we get in our "wayback machines" to be able to submit the port before May 1st?  ;)

Sam, can your DIDs be forwarded to SIP URI destinations?

Sam_from_CircleNet

Doooohhhhhh...
No special time travel discount. I was intending to date this as July 1st..

And to answer your question Taoman, yes it can be forwarded to a SIP URI and comes with full CNAM support.

Cool, I just sent in an inquiry last hour; Love the timing!

Question: When I look at the Residential/Home business service, it says VoIP must be provided via CircleNet's device? No Obi's?

I expect to get at least one "official" line to supplement GV and my others on my OBi system in the next few months, starting to look now.

OBi devices (or any other UA) can be used on the CircleNet BYOD per-minute rate plans.

The "unlimited" Residential/Home Business plans can only be used with a CircleNet supplied HT801. Apparently this is to prevent potential abuse and is aimed more for people looking for a "managed" service rather than BYOD. Still, $8/month is a decent price for unlimited (~5000 minutes/month) if you really need that many minutes.

Obi's would be a BYOD CircleNet device,
You would pay only for outgoing calls and if you wanted an inbound DID. The DID with 911 to an Obi would cost $1.50 monthly + $0.002 per minute

We've created a page to explain the offer.
