Good afternoon,

I apologize in advance if this question has been answered in a previous forum. I would appreciate any advice I can get.

I have hooked up the Obi200 device according to the directions and successfully linked my Google Voice account to the SP1 port. However, I am unable to make any calls from the connected phone, and I receive a message from a female voice saying that they are unable to complete the call. According to the FAQ, this is a temporary Google Voice problem, but I have waited a full 24 hours and this issue has not been resolved. Additionally, I am unable to make calls to my connected phone, either to the new Google Voice number I have been assigned or to the linked landline phone number. I do not know how to resolve this problem, and I am at my wits end. I would appreciate any answers or links to previous resolved forums.

Thank you for your time.

Hello all  :)

I seem to be having the exact same problem. I just finished my initial setup to Google voice on an Obi202 on latest firmware    3.2.2 (Build: 5897EX). As seen by the screenshot below, the status is "Connected" with a green light. Outgoing 10 digit phone calls out cause a female voice to say "We could not complete your call, please try again." Incoming calls ring normally on the phone making the call, but the analog phone connected to the obi does not ring. However, rings do come through the Google Voice web browser when receiving calls. I have not yet setup an E911 service through Anveo.

1) Do I need to purchase an outside VOIP service, besides Google Voice, to make calls through Google Voice? As hinted at this post

2) Also, the GUI makeover for Google Voice removes the option to forward calls to Google Chat as suggested in the following tutorial. Is that a possible problem for receiving/making calls now?

3) The Obi FAQ says that the female voice error is a temporary problem not on the user end, but Google's end. https://www.obitalk.com/info/faq/GV-and-the-OBi/We-cannot-complete-your-call. I find this a little hard to believe.

4) Any ideas as to what the problem is?

May internet karma rain upon you if you can come through for any suggestions :)

Cheers,
ArizonaObi
