Anyone who knows about new models won't be saying. It is expected that the current models will be given a cosmetic make-over to reflect the new branding arising from the takeovers.
I know, and I am telling: Polycom is continuing the OBi 2xx product line. It isn't going away any time soon.
Sexy new look!
Yah, and the IP phones have also been updated with the new look. It's like buying some grocery product, after they've modernized/updated their labeling, and the package says "New Look! Same Great Taste!"
ceg3:
I kind of like the utilitarian look. I can remember years ago getting my first OBi100 and thinking it looked like a tiny toy to me.

It may have looked like a toy, but it was the best $30.00 I've spent on a electronic product. I can't even fathom the thousands of dollars I've saved on long distance charges.
vtsnaab:
Yes, the costs avoided with the wonderful little 'toy' have been astounding.
Now, if only the 'new & improved' ones could be had for that same, mere $30 - that would be a terrific xmas present !!
SHarp:
I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Obi20X, I don't see any risk.
Even if they discontinue the series tomorrow and come out with new ones, I cannot see google changing the service in any big ways now that the new connections are up and running. So, even if they are discontinued, they aleady work with the new GV service, and I suspect they will for a long time. You don't go to that much trouble to make it work if you are going to flush it 6 months later.
