Enabling call forwarding remotely on land line

VeryBigTiger,

I'm very confused at this point what you have and what you're trying to do with it.  Since it's apparently not related to the discussion with Shammi, I would recommend starting your own thread and describing in great detail exactly what you're trying to accomplish.

Stewart:
VeryBigTiger,

Also, unless you have some reason to keep it private, e.g. you're in a country where VoIP is illegal, it would be useful if you specified what countries the OBi devices are in, what services are connected, what carriers are involved and any other relevant info about costs.  With that data, it may be possible to find a solution that is less expensive, better quality, simpler, more flexible, etc.

I thought that I might be able to add a phone number to the forward syntax "PP(ob200123456)" which will instruct the distand obi to dial that number. is that not possiple.

If you're wanting the receiving OBi to dial a PSTN number, you might try the following:

Originiating OBi:

Forwarding number : PP(n*18005551212)

Speed Dial n : PP(ob200123456)

where 18005551212 is the number to dial and 200123456 is the receiving OBi.

Receiving OBi:

Voice Services -> OBiTALK Service -> InboundCallRoute : {200654321>(Msp1):sp1},{ph}

where 200654321 is the originating OBi.  sp1 (2 places) may be sp2 or li instead if desired.

Hi Ron/All,

I came back and read my post and think its related to the forwarding which I'm trying to do so I'm quoting the last suggestion from you which is answering my question but because I'm newbie here and like to have a bit more of explanation about it so I can get it to work.
The question I have about the 2nd part of your solution related to the "Receiving Obi:" above .. the syntax you suggested is "{200654321>(Msp1):sp1},{ph}"

What I'm trying to accomplish is to get one obi forward coming call to a second obi where the second obi can dial my cell phone number through the land line direct or when no answer....while I'm at work.

my obi is connected to the DSL and "land line" on both end. would this syntax still stand and work or do I need to change "sp1" as example to "li" if that mean "land line". Same goes for Msp1 because I do not understand what it means and though not sure if I' can use ...

I hope I made my question a bit easy here. if I have to start a new thread for this to please let me know how as I did not see any where to start a new post.

Thanks a lot!!!
Joseph
