Hi all, I work for a Telecommunications company that primarily handles Toshiba and ESI PBXs. For the most part, we use Audiocodes FXO/FXS gateways for our installations, however, in specific cases, we are required to use different types of equipment to interface our PBXs with other vendors' equipment.
Currently we are attempting to interface a Toshiba IPEdge, a full IP PBX, with a Telcor paging system. The Telcor system produces an analog (POTS/PTSN) dial tone that can be connected to an analog phone and used to make overhead pages.
After speaking with the vendor of the Telcor Paging System, we were directed to buy an OBI212, and were informed that it would allow us to configure a trunk group on our PBX, register the PBX to the OBI212, and subsequently, access the dial tone provided by the analog line out on the Telcor System.
We purchased the OBI212, and have searched for a configuration guide on how to set this up how we want. If someone could post a detailed guide of how to set the OBI212 up for this situation, that would be greatly appreciated.
The guide needs to contain the following:
1. Step By Step Instructions On How To Configure The OBI212 As An FXO Gateway
2. How To Configure The OBI212 So That All Calls Outbound From The PBX Will Be Sent To The Analog Line Connected.
3. How To Configure The OBI As The Registration Server For The IP PBX
4. How To Configure The OBI212 So That It Does Not Interfere With The Existing Network, While Still Completing Its Application As An FXO Gateway.
