Obi1022 IP Phone Hold Feature Problem

Looking for some help.  I have an Obi1022 IP Phone using Google Voice.  Whenever I put someone on hold, and then return to the call, they can hear me but I cannot hear them.  I then have to disconnect the call, wait a couple of minutes (otherwise their line rings busy) and then call them back.  This is a big issue for me.  On a related note, this also sometimes happen when I attempt a conference call.  When start the conference with one person on the line, then they go on hold automatically when I press conference, then when I have the 3rd person on the line and attempt to bring in the 2nd person the 2nd person coming back into the conference from hold can hear us but we cannot hear them.  So both similar outcomes. Any input?
