Help me understand call logs GV vs Callcentric

I am newly setup with GV and have incoming calls forwarded to CC for CNAM lookup. I am seeing missed calls in my GV call log that never actually rang my phone.
GV is setup for call screening In GV the calls show as a missed call in call log. Not in SPAM CC does not show the call coming in at all The calls never rang my phone All the calls in question appear to have been telemarketers
I am thinking the caller elected not to tell GV their name so they terminated the call, but I want to make sure I understand how this works rather than assuming.
