After my initial setup last Monday I thought I was going to complete my connections today.  For the last four months I have been without service.  From yesterday I went from being hopeful to being enraged.  Some Polycom technicians should look at these providers that they list as "Approved" because I ran into one who I was all set to connect with.  Now, not only did I have to cancel my subscription but also I have to make an unplanned visit to my financial institution over these guys.  Hopeful that I was going to obtain service, and having submitted a substantial order for a year's service, I learned today that they require their own specified equipment.  So, after getting my OBi202 functioning, this vendor required that its users all use the ATA adapter they provide.  So, they were not, as I learned today, a "Bring Your Own Device" company.  So, as far as a provider is concerned, I only have my Obi device synced with Google Voice.  I would appreciate suggestions in making this search easier, knowing that Google Voice is not a telephone replacement system.

If my neighbors want to test VOIP, I set them up with an account through Voip.Ms. The account is free. They can buy a number in their local area to test with and that costs them 40 cents to buy it and 80 cents a month to keep it. So before testing they are out pocket $1.20.

They sign up for 'per minute' billing and configure their device and call away.

If all seems good, they can port their number into the service. Then I tell them they can cancel that test number and configure the rest of the account as they want like setting up NOMOROBO and so on.

Callcentric is another provider to look at.

Lavarock7, thank you.  I am looking closely at Callcentric.  Today Callcentric hooked me up.  The technician did it over the telephone.  It took the whole working day; but we did it!  This would have been done sooner if I hadn't tried to obtain services from other providers who could not connect to my OBi202.  They even promoted themselves as "Bring Your Own Device."  Usually Callcentric services customers through an online portal.  This setup today I could never completed myself.  Thanks, Polycom, Callcentric, etc.
