OBI and Google Voice paid version (for SMB)
(1/1)
cny-bp:
I have a personal GV account, but I want to try their new GV for a Small Business with another number.
https://cloud.google.com/voice/ outlines that the business offering for $20/mo has desk phone access
Yes, I need to porting a business number, which would be a new concept (not porting from a mobile carrier)
More importantly, the point of my post; does anyone have a straight answer about the OBiTalk site to set up one of these 'new' VOICE accounts... https://cloud.google.com/voice/.
Is anyone live them this using a ObiTalk?
I have a OBI1062 at my office and a OBI2182 at my home office.
thx much

Google Voice for G Suite has different procedures to assign telephone numbers, and to port in numbers. Unlike the consumer Google Voice, it can port in land line numbers.Per my post to which Geoff posted a link, you cannot use your existing OBi IP phones. The only phones that are supported at this time are the Poly VVX x50 series of IP phones. All management of IP phones is performed on the G Suite Google Voice administrator console, NOT on the OBiTALK portal website. All configuration is completely automated, with no manual configuration needed.
