I suspect my firmware is outdated since I've never updated it.

I am trying to set up Auto Firmware Update to do weekly checks but when I access the Auto Provisioning page under Expert Configuration, the method is disabled and there's nothing I can do. Attached is what I see on the Auto Provisioning page.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Use the OBi device local web-portal.

At phone plugged to the OBi200 device, dial ***1 and note the IP Address.  Open browser (preferably Chrome) on your pc, input the IP Address into the address bar, hit Enter at your keyboard.

Username and Password should be admin/admin (unless you changed it).

To System Management / Auto Provisioning:

Under Auto Firmware Update / Method / uncheck box for Default at right / select drop-down and choose your method.

Also:  Under OBiTALK Provisioning / Method / again, uncheck box for Default at right / select drop-down and choose.

Go to bottom and click Submit to lock changes.  Your OBi device will also reboot.

Good luck!

As far as I know, the auto firmware update settings are no longer used, or no longer work.

The four remaining methods are:

  • The IVR ***6 method
  • Downloading the firmware from a link posted by a knowledgeable user, here on this forum
  • Poly OBiTALK support personnel can push updates to any device that is currently attached and reachable on the OBiTALK device configuration page, in response to a service ticket on in-support devices.
  • Completely deleting a device off of the OBiTALK device configuration page, then performing a factory defaults restore, then re-adding the device to the dashboard.
