I have an OBi2182 that I am presently using with a Jabra PRO 920 DECT Office Headset. I also have my Galaxy S8 cellphone connected as well. At times, I would like to use a Bluetooth Headset with both my OBi2182 and my cellphone while still being able to use my Jabra PRP 920.

Can I have both my cellphone and a Bluetooth headset connected to my OBi2182 at the same time and be able to choose how I answer?

Where is SteveInWA, he should be able to answer my question?

IIRC my experience with Bluetooth on an OBi1032 was that it was not possible to have it connected to a cellphone and a Bluetooth headset at the same time.

That's what I was thinking. Maybe Steve could add some more info as he uses and is a Beta Tester for the OBi2182 as the BT is built-in and does not need a BT dongle as the Oi1032 does.

I don't understand what you are trying to accomplish.

Do you want the use the BT headset as a telephone headset connected via BT to your mobile phone and in the same way, connected via BT to the IP phone?  If so, that may or may not work, depending on the headset's Bluetooth version and support for multiple connections.  Newer BT headsets should work this way.

This has nothing to do with your DECT headset which is operating via the IP phone's hardwired RJ-9 handset/headset jacks.

Keep in mind that you need to/can control which audio device you use for calling on an IP phone:  the phone's own handset, its speaker, a BT headset, a 3.5mm-connected headset or a RJ-9 connected headset.

I really don't need to establish a call on my OBi2182 with the BT headset, but might want to use it after a call is answered. My cellphone is connected to my phone mainly so I could update its contacts. I hardly use it to make calls as I am disabled and don't go anywhere.
If I did get a BT headset, it would be the latest BT version.

I just got the OBi2182 and cannot get any bluetooth going.  I can pair it to my android phone, but it does not ring, pickup calls, nor place calls.  I cannot get any headset to pair.

my understanding is that OBibluetooth is no longer supported.  is this correct?

Maybe your BT headset can pair only to one device at a time.

When paired with a cellphone and suitably configured the intention is that the 2182 can make/receive calls from/to the cellphone number using your cellphone airtime. It is not possible to use the cellphone as a cordless mic and earpiece for the 2182. That is a limitation of cellphones, not the 2182.

And the above requires additional 2182 settings over and above the Bluetooth pairing.
