It's got 6 more buttons on the left side. You can use them for speed dials, etc. no need for a side-car. Also a dedicated VoiceMail key and other great stuff. I love mine. I got it on Amazon for $199.99.

Amazon is sold out of the 2182. Hopefully, will come back in stock.

Any reason to believe that the firmware of the 2182 is better than the 1062?

I do believe that the 2182 firmware is better. With my 1032, I was always loosing connection to my cellphone. Now with the 2182 that does not happen.
