Obi 1022 connected to obi network, not connecting to google voice

Just got a new OBI1022 from amazon. I set the phone's DNS settings to 8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8, but I keep getting this error message: Backing Off :TCP connection to 125.207.194.173 failed

It is running 5.0.6 build 4176.1311

I've had obi products in the past but this has never happened to me before
