T38Enable Codec Profile A vs B with Google Voice

I used the OBiTalk portal to add two Google Voice services on an OBi200. SP1 uses Codec Profile A. SP2 uses Codec Profile B. T38Enable is false in Codec Profile A and true in Codec Profile B.

Why is the OBiTalk setting for T38Enable different in Codec Profile A and B?
