Just wanted to let you know that there is a new version (at least the outer body) of the OBi202 on sale at Newegg.com (U.S.) for $49.99 plus tax (if it is applicable to your state), plus free shipping. Sale ends on Saturday.

Queue the wah-wah trombone; it's already sold out at that price.  But thanks for the news!

I'm surprised they sold out so fast when it was intended to be a 3-day sale.

Steve...do you know if the old configuration files (XML) from an OBi202 is fully compatible with the Polycom 2200-49522-001?

I'd be very surprised if the difference between an OBi202 and the Poly 2200-49522-0017 is more than the case cosmetics.  The GUI pages in the recent 200/202 firmwares are Polycom branded.

I was able to buy one at that price. When I get it, I'll try and provide confirmation, even though I suspect you are right.

So here is what the new Polycom looks like when it came in the same brown box as the previous OBi202. The manual has the name "Polycom OBi202." I'm not sure why on the internet, it is listed as Polycom 2200-49522-001.

This is my first time replacing a previous OBi202. I thought that having the XML backup would allow the file to populate everything in the new device except for password credentials. Not so, I pretty much had to add the individual GV numbers individually (have 4 GV numbers assigned to 4 different individuals). The expert mode had the configuration file partially populated--I had to uncheck the OBiTalk settings check box for it to populate the rest then save the configurations for each and every place I made a change in the original expert configuration sections (Voice Services (each SP section), User Settings, configure bridge mode again, etc.). I don't know if it is a Polycom OBi202 issue or that's the way it's supposed to work. Too bad the previous configuration file couldn't just populate everything, including the SP accounts (without the passwords, of course).
