so who are those providers, i only know about google voice. are the others good? thanks.
Ostracus:
I use the last one. So far so good.
earthtoobi:
am using callcentric and vitelity with callcentric as primary.
callcentric service has been excellent with ton of features.
it comes down to:your usage, features needed and the cost of plans offered.
Dav3yDark0:
I've used free Callcentric and Sipgate accounts on various ATAs and softphones. Both seem to work fine for me. Your best bet is to research those providers for yourself and see what other users have to say about them. They also have varying costs and features, so you will have to figure out your needs and then see which provider fits your needs best.

Stewart:
Providers vary greatly in voice quality, reliability, support, features, interoperability and, of course, prices.
You can find reviews of a dozen popular providers at http://www.dslreports.com/gbu .
Many users have two or more providers, e.g. one that offers a low rate to an otherwise expensive country that you call a lot, and another that has reliable 911 and incoming service, number porting, and good support. The OBi makes it easy to not only have several providers, but to automatically select the desired one, based on the number dialed.
