I have an aserisk configured to use an additional account on Obi202 that sends calls to Google Voice on the same Obi202 . I am able to send calls from asterisk to the Obi202 to terminate on the Google Voice network as expected, using g722 CODEC and asterisk confirms tat it is using g722 to the Obi202.
My question is whether those calls are actually being passed to the Google Voice network using the g722 CODEC, or whether the Obi202 is secretly transcoding them in one of the two configured accounts it must use (1 Google Voice or 2 My asterisk) or between the two internal Obi202 accounts.
I thought Google Voice was using the Opus CODEC for HD. Has this changed or is it incorrect?
