While I have submitted a support case to Poly, I'm curious if anyone has a BlueTooth headset working with the 1062 phone (e.g. with the latest firmware on the phone)?

I have tried two headsets at random, a JBL and a Bose A20. Both pair and when the phone is off hook there is a audio hiss in the headset, but no on call audio is present in either headset.

Is there a specific audio codec that is required by the 1062 that might not be in a traditional headset which otherwise works with Android or iOS devices? Perhaps a different BlueTooth profile, though I think this is less likely?

On a side note I tried pairing the 1062 to an iPhone 11Pro. While the 1062 is able to establish a call, no audio is present at the 1062 from the iPhone.

With respect to the support ticked I submitted to Polycom their response simply put did not address my question with respect to BlueTooth headset compatibility with the Obi 1062 phone. No mention of BlueTooth in fact. What they said was to direct me to a web page which provided a list of Polycom analog headsets which can be utilized with the 1062 phone via the RJ9 jack (e.g. wired tether or wireless but not BlueTooth).

It's almost like there was a corporate decision to brick BlueTooth on the 1062 phone to drive sales of non-BlueTooth headsets, potentially sold by one of Polycom's companies...

I should add that I downgraded the firmware based upon the thread on the forum. The phone is now working with any BlueTooth headset I have tested where I have a concern about the long term viability of this approach.

I received the following from Poly's support,

"Thank you for bringing this to our attention.  The Bluetooth on the OBi1062 Phone is no longer supported, no further update on firmware version to address this issue.  Our Team will make the changes/updates and discontinue on the advertisement for this Bluetooth feature.

Best regards,
OBi support at Poly"
