Obihai 302 - Only Fax Tone

Hi,

I have a Obihai302. Currently sending/receiveing successfully. Today, I tried faxing to a number but it failed. I called the number with my cell and I noticed there was not dial-tone first and then fax-tone, it went straight to fax-tone. Would Obihai be able to detect that immediatly and send the fax or is there a setting that determines that?

I assume you mean a ring or ring-back tone, not a dial tone.

Fax machines or fax servers can be set to immediately answer, which often does not produce a ring tone.  As long as you wait a few seconds and hear the fax machine on the other end producing fax tones, it's working.

Keep in mind, faxing via a VoIP connection can be unreliable or fail completely.
