Do not get rid of your land line yet if you will be using OBI110 and GV

There seems to be a problem with the caller ID not showing when you originate a call from a phone attached to OBI110 and go through Google Voice.  Please follow the discussion below:

The jury is still out on this, but it's likely the problem is with Google Voice and not the OBi110.  Don't panic until all the facts are known.

Andy,

Have read your post several different places.  I am not sure if this only affects certain GV account holders or not, but since the latest firmware update, my CID/Caller ID information shows up just fine on outbound calls.

Good luck

My bet would be that this is just a coincidence of timing — Google Voice is finally getting around to fixing the problem (we should hope) and you just happened to install the new firmware about the same time it was fixed on your account.  As far as I know, there's nothing in the OBi firmware that could cause (or resolve) this issue — it's entirely a Google Voice problem.
Inactive, no longer posting or responding to messages.  Goodbye and good luck.  Some of my old Obihai-related blog posts have been moved to http://tech.iprock.com - note this in NOT my blog; I have simply given the owner permission to repost some of my old stuff.

infos 3c1 reported in this thread http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/voice/thread?tid=305a3852cb635c69&hl=en that changing your incoming caller id fixed the outgoing caller id. If it does, you decide which is the worst problem.

I am sure they will fix it at some point.
