I had made 50+ attempts to add my new Obi2.2 today with no success. I found on another thread to turn off the firewall on the PC I was using to set it up which allowed the Add New Device to succeed. Once I finished the process I turned my firewall back on and sent several tests with no issues.
I am using this primarily to fax as my job involves faxing due to privacy issues.
Perhaps someone should add a sticky note to the top of the list and save others a lot of heart burn.
