Upgrading from an Obihai 200 to 202
Sandia505:
I checked the wiring as per your diagram only tip and ring is wired to Line 1 the same for Line 2. No matter what I tried both lines still ring, I also an having problems completing call and having the 202 show not connected on line 1.
I reset everything and tried again and I could not solve both lines ringing on incoming calls and still had the problem with line 1 dropping and showing no connect. I removed the 202, put back the 200 and deleted the 202. At least I can now complete an outgoing call and having it actually connect and not have it ring then disconnect or give me a recording saying the call was rejected by the provider or some other error.
I know these are not network errors on my end, I even tried moving the Obi's to a DMZ port directly on my router and that made no difference. The connect issues is why I replaced the 200 with the 202 unit thinking it was the problem but now I wonder if it really google voice. As much as I hate to admit it maybe it is time to consider another service provider such as Anveo. I have no clue about what I would do with the SP2 number, I imagine the SP1 would go over to Anveo but the SP2 stay with Google voice or lost?

Did you ignore the part of my post, including a screenshot, where I explain how to control which phone line rings for each SP?

No sir, I followed it exactly as you posted it but unfortunately it did not work for me, I even tried different configurations of PH, PH1 and PH2 none of the variation worked. And on top of that I kept having problems not completing calls from time to time. I would then go in and see not connected.
I consider myself a novice at this and consider those making suggestion experts and follow their instructions.
Unfortunately my Google voice service has been having issues since late Feb. of this year. One of the reasons I upgraded to the 202 was because I thought my 200 was going bad. This does not to be the case. I have read that many are having issues and one of the reasons some are bailing on google going to other carriers.
I cannot complain, Google voice was good to me for many years and it was free, but I depend on it too much and now I might just need to pony up and switch to a service where I can get online support when something does not work. I have decided to bail on the 202 and have re-installed the 200, it is working right now but who knows for how long. I really thank all that have tried to help ;D but perhaps this is just beyond me and my technical ability. :-\
