Visual message waiting indicator Callcentric
(1/1)
Henre:
Just set up my OBI200 with 95% success using a callcentric account but can't get the visual message waiting indicator to work for voicemail. I have VMWIEnable checked off. I'm using Cortelco 255400-VBA-27MD as my phone which did require upping the ring voltage to get it to ring so wondering if there are some other settings I need to configure. The light on the phone come on with the ring and the stutter tone works for voicemail but I don't know what I need to do to get the light to turn on.
Thanks for any ideas.

1. Please go in turn to each of all the other copies of your post and use the "Remove" button to delete them.
2. Have you also ticked the X_VMWIEnable box in the SIP settings page for the Voice Service you have configured with Callcentric?
Henre:
So sorry for the duplicate posts. I kept getting an authentication error when I submitted so I didn't think it went through.
Yes X_VMWIEnable is checked off on both the calling features section of the service provider (SP1) page as well as the phone interfaces page.
Thanks for your help.

There is also the option to blink the right hand LED of the OBi200 when a message is waiting. (https://www.obitalk.com/info/documents/admin_guide/OBiDeviceAdminGuide.pdf top of page 12. Setting is in the Timers section of Physical Interfaces, Phone Port 1. Default 0 means disabled.) Can you get that to work?
If yes, your problem would appear to be in the Phone port and phone area, possibly a hardware issue.
If no, your problem may be in the Callcentric and OBi area, a config issue.
