Calling from GV forwarded number

My home phone is the GV number, and I forward my calls to my iPhone.  When I call my home from my iPhone it goes straight to the voicemail login.  Is there a settings so that I can call my home phone from the forwarded number straight away?

In advanced settings for your cell phone number in your Google Voice account, change:

Direct access to voicemail when calling your Google number from this phone?

Yes (default for mobile phones)

to

No (requires pressing star during greetings -- default for non-mobile phones)
