Hi all,

I have recently helped a friend to install his OBI 110 with Voip.ms. Outgoing calls are working just fine. But whenever he leaves the OBI 110 alone for some time the third green light with the little telephone turns off. I don't know what he exactly does to get it back working but he can continue making calls. But since the box always turns off he can't receive any calls. Any idea what the problem is? Is it a problem of the OBI or Voip.ms? He already tried connecting different phones.

Thanks for your help!

The PHONE Port LED indicates whether the PrimaryLine service is registered.  Since it's going out, the OBi is apparently losing SIP registration with VoIP.ms.  You can confirm this by logging into the OBi and observing:

Status -> System Status -> SPx Service Status -> Status

It should display something like : Registered (server=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:5060; expire in 880s)

where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of VoIP.ms SIP server.
