Inum calling using Google Chat

i have added an inum as a contact for the obi google user. the question is what is the format to call inum?
i tried the following as part of speed dial(sp1=google chat):
**1 <number@inum.net> . it said SP rejected the call
**1 <number w/o @inum.net>. immediate engaged tone. the inum provider(callcentric) did not even register the call

Please let me know.
Note that this works fine when calling from a computer.

I'm not aware of any way to call an iNum number through the Google Voice interface that the OBi uses.
