Calling My Obi From My GV Forwarding Number

Hi. Set up my home phone as a GV number with Obi.

The forwarding number on my GV is my cell phone.

Here the problem: When I call my house from my cell phone GV think Im calling in from my forwarding number to check my messages and it sends me to the voice mail box. But all I want to do it call my house!!

Anyone else experience this? Any good work around?

In advanced settings for your cell phone number in your Google Voice account, change:

Direct access to voicemail when calling your Google number from this phone?

Yes (default for mobile phones)

to

No (requires pressing star during greetings -- default for non-mobile phones)
