Verizon Line 1; Vonage Line 2 but Obi won't accept same Vonage Line 2 wiring

HI..New User; Google Talk.  Was going to use Obi Google number as a whole house Line 2 as per my Vonage.  Vonage works just great in line 2 so I did a one-for-one replacement and no luck.  One phone works fine but can't get to work whole house.  Support says Obi has to be wired as Line 1 is now (my Verizon) which I'd have to change to Line 2 wiring and Line 1 wiring would have to go to Obi.  If correct, is there a simple work around this????

There's an adapter available (it looks like the typical 3-way 'splitter') that plugs into a jack that has both Line 1 and Line 2 service or devices and breaks it out to three jacks : Line 1, Line 2, and Line 1 + Line 2.  You would then plug the OBi into the Line 2 jack and it would get connected to the Line 2 phones in your house.
