Hi,  I am very much a newbie here so apologies up front :)

I have two OBi110s, one in the US and one in Mexico.
The US Obi has GV configured on SP1 and also has a pstn line..
The Mexico Obi is just on the internet, not connected to the pstn.
I want to set it up so that when my US number is called, it rings phone in the US & Mexico.
And when I pick up the phone in Mexico I want to access the US Obi as if I were there, without dialing any codes.

There was a previous post about this; the person had an OBi100 in Mexico but other than that was trying to do exactly the same thing. I followed those instructions and it is only working partially:
- calls to the US Obi ring in both locations (great!)
- when I dial any number from the Mexico Obi I get error 403.

Here's the setup from the original post:

OBi110:

Voice Services -> SP1 Service -> X_InboundCallRoute : {ph,pp(ob300123456)}

Voice Services -> OBiTALK Service -> InboundCallRoute : {300123456>(Msp1):sp1},{300123456:aa},{ph}

where 300123456 is the OBiTALK number of the OBi100.

OBi100:

Service Providers -> ITSP Profile A -> General -> DigitMap:

(<2*>(1xxxxxxxxxx|<1>[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|<1aaa>[2-9]xxxxxx|011xx.|xx.|(Mipd)|[^*]@@.))

where aaa is your local area code.

Physical Interfaces -> PHONE Port -> OutboundCallRoute:

{([1-9]x?*@@.):pp},{**0:aa},{***:aa2},{(<**1:>(Msp1)):sp1},
{(<**2:>(Msp2)):sp2},{(<**9:>(Mpp)):pp},{(Mpli):pli}

Physical Interfaces -> PHONE Port -> PrimaryLine : SP1 Service

User Settings -> Speed Dials -> 2 : PP(ob200123456)

where 200123456 is the OBiTALK number of the OBi110.

Incoming calls to SP1 of the OBi110 should also ring the OBi100.  The first to answer wins.

Dialing from the OBi100 should be the same as from the OBi110 and go out SP1 of the OBi110.

Dialing Speed Dial 2 (2#) from the OBi100 should get the Auto Attendant of the OBi110.

Can anyone help?  Thanks very much.

RonR

Are you sure you have the correct OBiTALK number for the OBi110 in Speed Dial 2 of the OBi100?

Are you sure you have the correct OBiTALK number for the OBi100 in the OBiTALK Service InboundCallRoute of the OBi110?

Can you dial 2# from the OBi100 and reach the Auto Attendant of the OBi110?

Charlie

Thanks for the reply.
I double-checked both of these.
I can dial 2# from the mexico obi and I do get the auto attendant of the home obi.

But both are obi110's - is that relevant?

The only thing different about an OBi100 is that it's missing the LINE Port.

What shows up in the OBi100 Call History for the Peer numbers (left and right columns) when you dial something like 8005551212 from the OBi100.  And is the Terminal ID of the right column OBiTALK1?

Does anything show up in the OBi110 Call History for that same failed call?

Charlie

On the mexico obi:

Call 1   02/11/2012    16:56:50

Terminal ID   PHONE1   OBiTALK1
Peer Name
Peer Number   2*14155551212   2*14155551212
Direction   Outbound   Outbound
16:56:50   New Call
16:56:52      End Call (403 Forbidden)

Nothing shows up in the call history of the home obi.

RonR

And dialing **114155551212 from the US OBi, the call goes through?

Charlie

Yes, **1415xxxxxxx goes through.

I configured all of this for both devices through obitalk except speed dials, which I could find there.
Does that make a difference?

Charlie

sorry, i made a mistake in the above post.  **11415xxxxxxx works.

RonR

Log into the OBi directly (not through the OBiTALK Web Portal) and verify all the settings.  I'm not seeing anything wrong and don't know why it's not working, especially when it did for the user back in September.
