Obihai does not always ring when Google Voice # is called
mallinj:
I have a problem with the Obihai 110 I use to place and receive calls from Google Voice. I can always pick up the extension and get a dial tone to place an outgoing call. :) However, incoming calls seem to ring on that extension only about 1/3 of the time. Anyone else experience this? Problem with my Obihai, router, ISP, settings? ???
TIA.

I should have pointed out that I have a second Obihai 110 at home on the same Google Voice account. It seems to never miss ringing on an incoming call.

You cannot connect two OBi's (or an OBi and any other Google Voice related application/client) to the same Google Voice account and expect predictable incoming call behavior.

Well, one Obi is without fail.. the other is flaky. Maybe if I swapped the locations of the two Obis, I'd swap their consistency profiles too? More important to get rings in my office than home.
Stewart:
You cannot run more than one device on the same GV account. An incoming call will go to the last one to register; it's hit or miss.
If you must use the same account from two devices, you'll need to link them (by OBiTalk or SIP), so that calls to the "master" are relayed to the "slave", and also sent to the Phone port.
