Obi Telco Line Out

What is the purpose of the Obi 110's telco line out?  I have my phone connected to the "phone" jack and it's working fine.  I was just wondering what I could do with it.

I'm in an apartment and I don't pay for a telephone line from my local provider, but I do have internet.

That is a line IN. If you have a POTS line you can plug it into the Obi and have those calls ring the Obi's phone port along with any voip calls.
Without a POTS line (or equivalent) it is useless.

Have a look here for alternate uses of the line port if you do not need it for a POTS service. For the small difference in price, it is a better value IMO.
