Should I start over?

Hello everyone. I just received my first OBi110 yesterday and the initial installation using Google Voice as primary SP1 was very easy. Since it was pretty basic, and I didn't know about OBi Expert, (nothing in their little quick start guide) I made a few changes using the IP address method. Nothing serious, just auto firmware updates = periodically, etc. Now when I do enter the expert mode through the web portal, I see some red exclamation points and some asterisks.

Everything seems to work ok but I'm not a big fan of red symbols in a config file. Should I leave well enough alone or delete and start over? Also, is it better to use the web portal/expert mode to make changes or use the IP address? I plan on adding Callcentric for 911 service on SP2 but I'll wait until I get some feedback here (I still have my landline just in case but am planning on ditching it when I get this system configured right)

Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm not a fan of the OBiTALK Web Portal and prefer to do all configuration to the OBi directly.  It's much quicker, easier, and more reliable.

If you configure the OBi directly, you must disable Auto Provisioning:

System Management -> Auto Provisioning -> ITSP Provisioning -> Method : Disabled
System Management -> Auto Provisioning -> OBiTALK Provisioning -> Method : Disabled

To configure Callcentric on SP2:

Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> General -> Name : Callcentric
Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> General -> DigitMap:

(*123|**275*xx.|[2-9]11|1xxxxxxxxxx|<1>[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|<1aaa>[2-9]xxxxxx|011xx.|(Mipd)|[^*#]@@.'@'@@.)

where aaa is your local area code.

Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> SIP -> ProxyServer : callcentric.com
Service Providers -> ITSP Profile B -> SIP -> OutboundProxy : callcentric.com

Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> X_ServProvProfile : B
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> AuthUserName : 1777nnnnnnn
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> AuthPassword : (sip password)
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> CallerIDName : (callerid name)
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> MWIEnable : (checked)
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> X_VMWIEnable : (checked)
Voice Services -> SP2 Service -> MessageWaiting : (unchecked) (Default unchecked)

For 911 routing to SP2:

Physical Interfaces -> PHONE Port -> OutboundCallRoute:

{([1-9]x?*(Mpli)):pp},{(<#:>):li},{911:sp2},{**0:aa},{***:aa2},{(<**1:>(Msp1)):sp1},
{(<**2:>(Msp2)):sp2},{(<**8:>(Mli)):li},{(<**9:>(Mpp)):pp},{(Mpli):pli}

Thanks for the reply Ron. Again, my first question is, should I delete my account and start over or are these red exc. points and asterisks ok? Or, is there a way to get rid of them through my current setup?

I believe anything you change is going to have red exclamation points : OBi Expert Configuration (Introduction)

Keep in mind there is no need to use the OBiTALK Web Portal at all.  You can delete the device from the Dashboard and simply configure it directly.  You'll have more control and better status if you do.

For Google Voice on SP1:

Service Providers -> ITSP Profile A -> General -> Name : Google Voice
Service Providers -> ITSP Profile A -> General -> SignalingProtocol : Google Voice

Voice Services -> SP1 Service -> AuthUserName : (Google Voice username)
Voice Services -> SP1 Service -> AuthPassword : (Google Voice password)
Voice Services -> SP1 Service -> X_SkipCallScreening : (checked)

Physical Interfaces -> PHONE Port -> PrimaryLine : SP1 Service
