Where is https?

I was concerned about this as well, so I looked at the traffic with tcpdump (on my Linux machine) and the login is indeed https. I didn't check the settings page.

I can assure you that the login and setting page (Device Configuration) is
via https.

Has been done this way since Day1 for security.

Any idea how to update the web-server private key and certificate and also the root certificate?
