I purchased an Obi, so I could use Ring.to on the device. Apparently Ring.to can only be provisioned on the device if I buy e911 service from Anveo. Anveo is unable to "verify" my address (we live in a newly developed community in MD) in their database, and therefore can't provide me e911. I even called Anveo about this who just gave me a dismissive answer and stated that they couldn't override the system or manually approve my address (surprised that a company would turn away a potential customer so easily). When there are several other providers, all of which who I have confirmed ARE able to verify my address, this answer falls flat. The end result: I can't use Ring.to on my OBI.
Question to Obihai:
Why do I have to specifically use Anveo's e911 service? Your
description of the service conveniently leaves out this point and I can't understand, from a business perspective, why you'd peg Ring.to service to the ability to obtain E911 service from a provider who has the poorest coverage for this? Again, PhonePower, Callcentric and the others have no issue with my address. Only Anveo.
If I'm unable to sort this out, I'm returning my Obi and you'll have lost a customer.
