Hi all,
I am new to the OBi work and the forums!

I have seen some articles showing how people use their OBi device with Google Voice and/or a VoIP service with the Phone 1 and 2 ports along with a SIP compatible phone.

Basically, they have their OBi devices set up and have set up their Cisco or Polycom phones to be able to dial out from the number configured on the OBi as well as have incoming calls ring on the OBi Phone 1 or 2 port as well as the IP Phone.

I would like to know how I can set this up as I have residential VoIP service (ViaTalk) and want to use it with the cordless phones around the house, but also want to be able to make and receive calls on the number from my desk phone.

Does anyone have any ideas about an easy way for me to set this up? Thank you!

Here's a couple of other threads that may address your question:

Note that if you plug a standard phone into one of the phone ports, for outgoing calls it will use whichever service provider you have designated as primary for that phone port (can be the same for both ports).

Thank you for the links and information! Unfortunately, most of the links inside the links you sent me no longer function so the steps provided are useless as I do not know how to set up one of the devices (depending on which one I read).

Are there any specific directions on this?

I just want to be able to have my SIP phone connect to the obi for calls.

There's only one actual bad link I found that was bad (in the fist thread, and I added a message with the revised link at the end).  Don't be fooled if you see a string containing an IP address that the forum software has tried to convert to a link; those are not real links, just an artifact of the way the forum software works.

The voxilla link inside of the Polycom link is broken:

As for the second link you sent, that doesn't even make any sense to me of how to use it!!
