Configure Caller ID WITH NAME?

<< < (6/7) > >>

Dixon:
Still same. Can call out, no inbound. History shows no inbound, just outbound.
GV is forwarded to Gchat. No other forwards.
Simon is configured on SP1. Status shows "Registered".
CC on SP2 for e911
Thinking about deleting and re-registering.

Dixon:
To be clear. the OBI history show no inbound. The GV website show the inbound.

I guess that would be the next thing I would try, though it mystifies me why it's not working for you.  This is the type of problem that's so frustrating (and makes me glad I don't work in tech support) — when you have a configuration that works perfectly for most people but doesn't for a few, and you have no way of knowing the reason why it won't work for those few.  It could be a Google Voice issue for all we know, but that's just it — we don't know!

Dixon:
Deleting and re-regsitering is the same. No inbound calls or history. Yet outbound works fine.
Just wondering if you use it MT? Or anyone else here has tried this. Registration is temporally open again.
It's an easy setup. Not much a user could do to screw it up. Seems like if outbound is working, inbound should too as long as calls are forwarded to Gchat.
Seems like the problem may be on Simon's end, or GV. Could be somthing I am doing wrong too. I'm not frustrated or looking for support. I like to debug things.
I'll try the wife's GV next.

Hi Dixon,

If you are already using Callcentric, just thought you may want to be aware of this other thread.  It seems you can receive incoming GV calls via CC with free incoming Caller ID Name.  Just thought you might want to know.
