Auto ReSet if Network Goes Down

Love my Obi 110. I only use it with Google Voice.
My only problem: I update my router firmware frequently, which reboots the router. This usually messes up Obi (no dial tone, no incoming calls). I just unplug and replug and everything is fine. Shouldn't Obi automatically deal with this? Are many forum "problems" the same as mine (perhaps there ISP went down for a few seconds and their Obi needs a reboot or reset of somesort)?

Do you have your router set up to give the OBi device a static lease?
First thought that comes to my mind is, that when the router reboots, that it is giving the OBi unit a different IP address.
