static!

Please have patience, I am 72 yr old lady with very little tech knowledge.
I got my obi working, but it has static!  I inquired, and they sent me a new obi 110.
I hooked it up and got it working again, same heavy static.
I have wireless phones with answering machine.  Uniden. it is hooked up to regular house phone line.
router is hooked up to cable phone line.  Is this my problem?

Hi.

If you have a regular corded phone around the house, perhaps you can temporarily connect it to the OBi instead of the cordless phone, just to see if it makes a difference.

I'd also suggest trying to plug the phone directly to the obi instead of thru the house wire to see if it gets better.
