OBI100 and U-Verse gateway

I want to attach my OBI100 directly to an Ethernet port on the U-Verse gateway but am having a little issue. I used the allow individual applications setting and defined the required ports to be opened. This seems to interfere with the TV, as I get pixelation on several channels. Removing the OBI100 stops the pixelation immediately. What are others doing? DMZPlus mode?
