No Dial Tone on my new OBi100

I got my OBi100 yesterday. Set it up with GV, and everything went well. However, starting today, when I pick up the handset, there is no dial tone. But if I continue to dial the numbers, it will ring the receiver. I can also receive the phone call with no issue. The only thing missing is the "Dial Tone". I've rebooted the device several times, also upgraded the firmware, but the issue persists. The OBiTalk interface stated that I am online and connected. Can anyone advise how I can solve the no dial tone issue? Is it possible my device is defective? This is only the 2nd day...

A couple of things you can try.
1) Change the cord
2) Try another phone
