Forwarding Cell phone to GV Landline does not ring

Hi.
I have OBI/GV set up on my landline with calls being forwarded to my cell phone. Unfortunately, I am unable to call this landline number from my cell-phone. The bell does not ring on the landline and I get a missed call alert from GV landline. I also changed the settings from contacts/GV that should enable the phone to ring through but it does not happen. Please help, because I need to be able to call my family.
Also, what are those softphone numbers? I tried calling on them but just got a busy signal.
