Hello,

New OBi110 connected to Netgear WNR-834B V2 (stock firmware) which itself is connected to a cable modem. This router has NO SIP ALG setting.

Desk phone is connected to PHONE Port of this OBi110

Bell phone line is connected (for now) to LINE Port of this ATA

Google Voice (GV) -> SP1: CONNECTED
(Primary Line box NOT checked)

VOIP.MS (VOIPMS) -> SP2: REGISTERED

Voice Services for SP1 & SP2: Enabled

I can call out to a local 10-digit number via GV (**1) or via VOIPMS (**2).

However, a neighbor cannot call my local VOIPMS-DID number via Bell.  She said there was no ring and she heard a voice message saying "the extension you dialed is not in service".

I have not touched the default Digit Maps of SP1/SP2

I also noticed that:

1. Echo test (**9 222-222-222) is OK

2.  X_InboundCallRoute=ph

3.  AuthPassword: keeps showing blank DESPITE me filling in password then Submit (same problem with both SP1 & SP2 SIPs)

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

I did log into voip.ms and it shows REGISTERED.

tavie888

Hello again,

I CAN reach the voip.ms local DID number via:

1. cell phone;

2. another landline phone in the house.

So, I can call out, but cannot receive incoming calls to this DID number.

In other words, the desk phone attached to OBi110:

1. Has a dial tone, after the first 1-2 seconds of busy signal, and can send calls;

2. But it DOES NOT RING and cannot receive calls!

Please help!

Hi,

I just made the following changes to my router:

1. Add QOS rule allowing highest priority to the MAC address of OBi110;

2. Allow Port Forwarding to Port 5060 (UDP).

User Authentication passwords for both SP1 and SP2 still not received and recorded.  The PHONE Port light is a faint green, whereas the LINE Port light is solid green.

The LAN Port light on my router for OBI110 connection is amber, not solid green.

Still no ringing and no incoming calls to this desk phone attached to OBI110.  Any ideas or suggestions?

TIA

Regarding Item#3 in my original post, OBi PHONE LED is not on which means "the service provider configured in the OBi needs to have a valid credential" according to the Obihai FAQ.

Originally I was using Firefox browser when entering the passwords.  After repeating the task using Internet Explorer, the PHONE LED has suddenly become solid green.

After logging out of OBiTALK Portal then logging back in via IE or Firefox, I no longer see the password dots.  However, the PHONE LED stays solid green.  This is strange, but I keep my fingers crossed!

PROBLEM SOLVED! I did the following to solve my problems:

1. Create a sub-account in voip.ms, add a ring group then link my DID number to this ring group;

2. Put a check mark in SP2's "Make this a primary line to call out from";

3. Put a check mark in the box called "Forward to Google Chat" in GV's Account >Settings

;D
