Where are release notes and links to old firmware for OBi202?

After I purchased Obi202 a several weeks ago I had firmware updated by Obi Customer service to 3.0.0 (Build: 3375)

I logged in to portal today and there was an exclamation mark next to my device indicating that new firmware is available. I performed update via portal and firmware version is now 3.0.0 (Build: 3397).

I would like to stop using portal but want to keep up with firmware updates manually. I found link to download 3.0.0 (Build: 3397)  but don't see any release notes for this (or any older firmware) and links to older firmware.

Did I just miss this information or is it not available?

JoeSchmoe007,

Unfortunately this seems to be the Achilles heel of obihai since day one. Sometime ago after some complaints about this very issue, obihai made a serious effort in communicating what had changed in the firmware as evidenced by thread Firmware / Advisories / Notifications for OBi Products.

They are notoriously slow/negligent at releasing firmware change notes. I would think that there must be a senior software engineer in charge of approving these changes/improvements. It would be easy enough for him/her to write a little blurb on what was changed.

Considering all the new OBi202/wifi/BT and the OBiPLUS  (perhaps a few other surprises), services/products they are working on, it may be that they don't have the time.

The lines of communication between obihai and their customers are essentially sustained on this board. Since this board is really a "marketing tool" disguised in the form of a "product support" site, since there is no significant presence of OBi support, I would think that the Marketing person should be responsible to get that information out to the users. As good as the products may be obihai takes liberties with their customers assuming they know what is best for them in terms of pushing firmware on the units. We don't even know what the changes are at the time of the update. Some internal discipline on the part of obihai to get whatever group of people that need to cooperate on getting this information out on this board is called for. This lack of discipline trickles down and leaves an impression on us. It is normal to expect users of the OBi units to want to know what we are feeding it, considering many have spent hour/days/weeks tweaking it just so. We feel very protective.

Since they don't listen here, try Twitter.  At least that's public and if they don't respond...

Thumbs UP, QBZappy.  Very Well Stated.

Any Business knows that Customer Support is Key to it's success.

OBiHAI has made a great product.  However, the lack of Customer Support will eventually cause serious problems for the company.

I do hope they are reading these posts, and are making efforts to imporve the Customer Service by way of better support documentation.

One other note is, that I have seen several documents and advertisements with miss-spellings and bad typos.  I'm not perfect in any way!  But, I'm not trying to project a Professional Business Presence, so that someone will buy my product.  :)  ( I'm allowed to miss-spell and use poor grammer with types.  8).

See a pattern?  You can get almost any firmware you want if you know what you want.  Some of the old stuff does appear to be deleted.
