Connection drops after exactly 15min
lk96:
I noticed that when I dial certain destinations, calls are dropped by Obi *exactly* 15min later.
I noticed this on Obi202 (haven'ted tried on a different one).
My VOip provider for these calls is Voxbeam.
My internet connectivity is through Comcast.
It seems that some timer (in SIP?) expires at that moment.
anyone knows where this may be coming from? if so what would
be a work around ? Even if the issue is caused by a non compliant
media gateway on the remote side, it would be nice to know
if I can somehow rectify this by some Obi configuration change.
thanks

To further a bit the discussion:
I was looking online for similar problems (not just with Obi but with SIP end points).
There are some references that suggest that my SIP end may not
responding to sip-reinvites. And as such the remote end drops the call.
Not sure if this is relevant but if someone has a clue, this is something to
contemplate also.
thanks

I am also seeing this since the 3.0.0 update on an Obi202. This was not a problem prior to the upgrade.

I just noticed that in the call history, in the case the call is dropped, there is the
following event entry:
Call Ended (400 Not Acceptable)
The trick questions now are:
1. is this due to mishandling on the Obi side or on Voip provider side (or the media gateway somewhere) ? I'm worried that I'll get into a finger pointing exercise.
2. How can I grab the SIP exchanges? are they directed to syslog?
When I captured some packets with syslog in the past I didn't see any detailed SIP info but I may be totally wrong. The way I did it was by pointing the syslog to my Macbook and capturing/opening the packets with Wireshark. Is there a good way to do it ?
I'm afraid that without capturing the packets I won't be able to figure out who is causing the issue.

It is worth trying to use software client instead of OBi (I like 3CX or PhonerLite for Windows) and see if this still happens.
