Auto Attendent

(1/1)

wegrzyns:
I have a OBi110 with google voice as main line and a POTS line as a second line.

I have it working and I can dial out on the iPhone app. But if I want to dial out on the iPhone app and use the pots line I dial **8 and the number.

Problem, is the auto attendent answers. Regular calls go through just fine, but when I use **8 and a number the auto attendant answers. I can then enter 2 to do a new call, then **8 and number and it works fine. But I do not want to have to go through all these steps. I just want the call to go through using **8 and number with the iPhone app.

Help please.  Thank You !

Do you have your Obi set as the default gateway for your softphone number?

Did you put your softphone number in your circle of trust.

What is the InboundCallRoute for Obitalk Services

wegrzyns:
Yes it is in gateway, yes in cyl. of trust.

Here is call route  {(290xxxxxx)>(xx.):SP1},{(290xxxxxx):aa},{ph}

ianobi:
When **8 arrives in your InboundCallRoute there is no rule to deal with it, so it defaults to the auto attendant. This should work for you:

{(290xxxxxx)>(<**8:>(Mli)):li},{(290xxxxxx)>(xx.):SP1},{(290xxxxxx):aa},{ph}

Even better would be:

{(290xxxxxx)>(<**8:>(Mli)):li},{(290xxxxxx)>(Msp1):SP1},{(290xxxxxx):aa},{ph}

I think the problem comes from adding the softphone number in the COT. When you do that, Obitalk makes configuration changes that are designed only for the default trunk.
