I don't understand trunk groups on an Obi202

Is there any way to make two Obi202s interact with each other? Example: Question 1,I pick up the handset on Port 1 of Obi1 and get it's normal dialtone, then dial a star code (similar to the usual **2), and then I have access to the SPx Voice Service on Obi#2?

Taking the above one step further, could I (Question 2): have two Obis 'connected' like this in two different physical locations, for the sake of argument, let's say Delaware and upstate NY?

Trunk Groups are not needed for the situation you describe. QBZappy has given you good advice (as always!)

Trunk Groups can be useful for "failover" situations. If one trunk is busy then an outgoing call can be directed to use the next free trunk. This recent post might give a good idea of how trunk groups might be used:
