How do I speed dial Google Voice (GV) voicemail from my GV phone?

To check my voicemail, I dial my GV number from my GV (home) phone. I'd like to be able to speed dial my voice mail and can't figure it out.

I tried entering my GV number as a speed dial number using ObiTalk like I did for all of my other speed dial numbers. When I try to speed dial "N#" where N is the speed dial number, I get a couple of clicks and then dial tone.

I know this is covered somewhere, but I haven't been able to figure out the right search terms to find it myself.

enter the number in speed dial as sp1(1xxxxxxxxxx) -where xxxxxxxxxx is your google voice number. (and assuming it is on sp1.

this bypasses the digit maps and sends the call out sp1 as dialed.
